| | Newmarket rugby club can boast one of the largest and most vibrant youth sections in the area, with teams from under 7 through to colt’s rugby at under 17.
All teams are run by qualified coaches and numerous players from the youth section go on to represent not only Cambridgeshire but also Eastern Counties. Although as a club we have a track record of producing representative players, anyone regardless of ability is welcome and can be sure of a game. As they grow older, players are encouraged to join the senior section of the club and every effort is made to make that transition as smooth as possible. | Registration Day Sunday 5th September 10.30am

| Registration day is the 5th September 2010 and we look forward to seeing the return of many players, parents and coaches from last season. The social committee are planning a BBQ and Takeaway quiz. all proceeds will go to the Air Ambulance. The youth committee has also been in reciept of some fresh blood as Caroline Hillary has taken over as Junior Rugby Co-ordinator. Adrian Green will remain in the post of Director of Youth Rugby for the whole Junior section. Adie will continue to help club coach Dave Sayer in identifying coaching requirements for the youth section of the club and provide encouragement and support to all those who turn out every Sunday to coach the junior teams. Past Youth Treasurer, Louise Hansford has agreed to take on the role again and combine it with her job as Treasurer for the whole club, a move which should see us benefit from a greater coordination and economies of scale when making purchases. Philippa Walker is now the club safeguarding officer and any concerns can be directed to her. Caroline Hillary will also be continuing her role as Merchandising officer responsible for the purchase of kit and equipment for both the Adult and Junior sections. From September we shall be bringing out some new lines in clothing and details will appear on this website. |
